Jim Jackson and Jeff Johnson posted this photo on Facebook. The art club trips were some of the most enjoyable and important events in my teaching career. Those students worked so hard on these trips. They raised the bar in the classroom and all of the other students rose to it. No doubt that they’d tell how much fun they had, but they came home with an art history understanding that matched my college students.
YES WE ARE OPEN!!!
NEW WORK AND WORK IN PROGRESS
This painting was a prototype for my Cuba work. It is headed to a collection in Michigan.
As many of you know, Kathy and I were guest artists in Cuba this past spring. What an honor and what an exciting time to visit with our Cuban artists friends. Now the show comes back to the states in Columbus, Ohio.
The work is spread over Columbus at various galleries.
You can find our work at the Grid Furnishings Gallery in Worthington 661A High Street, Worthington, Ohio
Don’t they look beautiful?
Several of our Columbus artists friends are also exhibiting with us. Sophie Knee and Kathy McGhee Print makers from CCAD Not too be missed! Let me know what you think of the whole exhibit.
A little talk at the awards ceremony. This is what I do and why!
On the 28th I was honored with an award for my work at the Foot by Foot show at the ZAAP gallery. Attached is a link to my talk, enjoy!
Yes I know, the person filming should by holding the camera horizontally. We’ll give them a break, right?
We’re just outside Urbana, Ohio at a shrimp and seafood festival eating great seafood in an Ohio cornfield at the Fresh Water Farm. What a stitch! It continues through Saturday. Good live music.
IT’S BEEN A GOOD WEEK AT THE STUDIO.
I’m feeling much better and I’m back working on new projects.
The monarch’s came, laid their eggs, made their chrysalis’, and yesterday while I was working this one hatched and stayed around just long enough for me to say goodbye and safe travels to Mexico.
I’m sure we have more in the garden.
WE ARE OPEN THIS EVENING FOR FIRST FRIDAY!
Don’t forget to get to the ZAAP Gallery tonight for the beginning of the FOOT BY FOOT show and sale!
FIRST FRIDAY IS JUNE 7TH
JOIN US FOR THE ART WALK IN DOWNTOWN ZANESVILLE
Come and enjoy the beauty outside!
The summer gardens are spectacular
I have quite a few Siberian irises to give away on First Friday.
Inside Mike is glazing the stain glass windows two at a time. It’s a little messy, but really amazing to see these big windows come down and get fixed up for years to come.
Also we will have our radical knitters in public visiting us again. Look out for these ladies!
See you Friday!
Stop by the studio on First Friday art walk for chocolate cake and sangria to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary
It’s like we turned around and here we are 50 years later.
Can you believe it?
Thanks to Bob Kessler for keeping our dreams alive. All the arts matter especially as we build our communities.
Several folks let me know they’ve seen the billboard.
